Michael Hurdman

Biography

I was born in 1948 in Syracuse, New York. I was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. It was my privilege to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1969. Upon discharge, I married my wife Barbara. We have 2 daughters, Laura and Pamela,and 3 grandchildren, Avian, Jayna, and Adirana. I became a Christian in 1971 and accepted the call to preach in 1977. I attended Nazarene Bible College from 1979-1982. We pastored our first church in Covington, Louisiana. I transferred my credentials to the Church of God (Anderson, Ind.) in 1989 and pastored in Covington, La. for 5 years. We moved to West Monroe, La. in 1994, where we pastored until 2008, when I returned to college at Southwestern Christian University. I received my Masters degree in 2011. I was an adjunct instructor fo Mid-America Christian University for 5 years, and for the last 2 years I have been a full-time faculty member in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies, Christian Ministries Department.
