Michael Thornton

Biography

I have been a chorister, jackaroo (Aussie teenage cowboy), journalist, fundraiser, consultant, board member and international volunteer. I am author of JACKAROO (Penguin Australia 2011), a memoir about four teenage years he spent as a cowboy on Australian sheep and cattle stations and which was nominated for his country’s National Biography Award.
In 2013, I walked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage across northern Spain. Thus, my latest book, '27 Days a Pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela'.
