I'm an Aussie girl that's been dreaming up tales for as long as I can remember, staying up until the wee hours of the morning with pictures running through my mind.
This has translated into my love for all written words - story, copy and otherwise.
Purlieu is my first book and is inspired by personal experiences of my own life.
I live in Brisbane, Australia with my husband.
When did you first start writing?
I first realised I was story writing in primary school when I was being bullied. I used it as a distraction and realised how much I enjoyed creating worlds where anything can happen, rather than the lack of control I was experiencing around me at school.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Queensland, Australia, in a humble little town halfway between the Gold Coast and Brisbane city. I always loved visiting Brisbane and locations in my stories always somewhat resemble those places I've visited in real life. I'm also deeply in love with the local fauna and it heavily influences the scenes that I set.
She ran away with him when she should have run from him.
Will she get home before the damage done is irreversible?
With abundant green pastures that veil depths of torment and manipulation, Purlieu is a place you would never want to call home.
