I'm the young and new adult, cross-genre author of the award winning "Unspeakable." I love to read and write, and eat way too many peanut butter M&Ms while I do both. I'm originally from Flint, Michigan, which means I say "Pop" not soda, and "you guys" instead of the typical ya'll used in my new home state of Texas. Although I love the balmy winters of Texas, I'll always think of the Great Lakes state as home. I love to hear from readers, bloggers, and other authors, so drop me a note and say "Hi."
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I remember writing something about The Flintstones when I was a child. As an adult the first story I finished was Concilium, an adult urban fantasy. PODs was my debut young adult title.
How do you approach cover design?
I usually pick a pivotal scene in the book, or an overall theme, and get my inspiration from that. I outline what I'd like to see on the cover and then hand the reins over to my cover designer. I listen closely to their ideas because they know what will look nice and also the trends in design. So far I've been lucky to work with some awesome cover designers.
From the award-winning author of PODs, comes the highly anticipated sequel. Months have passed since an infection has been reported. Survivors of the virus have started to build a life in a world left devastated by plague. But untold danger watches and waits. In a world where death stalks the unsuspecting… even the PODs might not save them. The Virus refuses to die quietly.
