Beg Me is a strangely compelling novella considering its predominant theme, no pun intended. Shiloh Walker is an expert at writing about the deepest and sometimes darkest emotions, and making them seem somehow acceptable. In her newest novella, she doesn't pull any punches, taking her readers to a whole new level of emotional extreme and angst, focusing on her characters' greatest desires and fears. In Tania we are able to experience both the good and the bad of getting what we wish for.
Drake and Tania are not the typical hero and heroine, yet they are still heroic in their appeal and likability. Without giving away the ending of the story, which is quite a surprise, there are a number of factors that contribute to their need to fight for each other. As always with Ms. Walker's works, Beg Me, is an extremely sensual novel, of course with a few tastefully graphic love scenes. There is so much included in this “novella” it seems like a much longer story: it is truly deeper than quite a few novels I have read in some time, and definitely better.
