Scott Middlemist

Using language to engage people is in my blood, as my family once owned Burma-Shave, a company known for its memorable roadside jingles. With a degree in English, I have been writing for a long time, but JIGSAW SOUL has been my priority for the last few years. I leaned on my experience as a former infantry officer and current English teacher to create this story. During the process, I was fortunate to sharpen the manuscript with two notable authors: Bret Anthony Johnston and Brent Ghelfi. In addition, the Arizona Authors Association awarded the novel 2nd Prize in 2008. Recently, my horror story "Crosshair" was published by The Writing
