This tale opens in the middle of a friendship, and in the middle of a curse. Through conversation, we expand on the personalities of Mel and Scarlett, and learn how Mel got cursed. It's very understated and really captures the intimacy of individuals who have known each other for a long time without overtly discussing most personal matters. It ended a little abruptly -- I would have liked another pge of coziness. And I totally want to inherit Mel's house and library.
