I have been involved in creative writing my whole life. It's something I truly enjoy and it is a large part of helping me to do my primary work, which is to compose original musicals. My formal training is in Music Theory and Composition and I've recently completed my second full length musical (working on a third now!).
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
There is a unique sense of satisfaction that comes from writing. For me, it's very similar to the feeling I get when I'm working on creating music. I think the fact that it is by far the most challenging type of work is what eventually leads to the unmatched feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment.
What do your fans mean to you?
Well, at this point I don't have any but I hope to one day! I think that if I were to ever develop a fan following, I would feel honored that people appreciate the work that I do. I would guess that any author, composer, or artist of any kind that did creative work would feel the same way. The idea that people want to spend some of their precious time enjoying your work is a huge reward unto itself.
This is the story of the real Ichabod Crane. A conniving Lothario, he travels from town to town in the guise of a Headmaster, seducing hapless widows who fall prey to his charms. Sleepy Hollow proves to be different. Ichabod meets and falls in love with Katrina Van Tassel. He must face not only a rival in Brom Bones, but also the ever looming specter of the mysterious Headless Horseman.
