Matt Kuvakos

Hi, my name is Matt. I'm a writer, I guess. Does one ever know when they become a writer?

Anyway, I've been writing for about eight years. In that time, I have won multiple awards for short stories, including placing 6th in the entire YA category in the 85th Annual Writers Digest Competition. I have also been awarded the Silver Medal for the 2016 Illumination Book Awards for my first young adult novel, Addison's Mark.

Another important part of my life is my faith. I love Jesus.

I'm not an expert in theology, or anything really. I haven't been to seminary, and I haven't floated up into the clouds deep in meditation and met with Jesus, Zeus, or the Spaghetti Monster.

I'm just a regular guy with an awesome wife and two black cats. However, one thing I love and do well is ask questions.

I think we are all made to be seekers, but sometimes, the church, families, and even ourselves don't focus or give space for the big time God/faith/life questions, hindering us in the long run.

I hope the stories I write inspire some deep questions you were once afraid to ask in fear of doubt. But, I think doubt is the first step in solidifying our faith in God or anything worth believing in.
