Mladen Kopjar was born in 1975 in Zagreb, Croatia, where he graduated in law and librarianship. He worked in both professions and wrote articles for daily newspapers. Now he is a professional writer.
Having begun writing, he was sure that editors would scornfully regard his texts, so he gaped when they started publishing them. Kopjar wrote about hundred and fifty short stories, seven books, two picture books and sixteen radio plays.
He also translated into Croatian The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins.
