M. M. Marks

Malvika Mishra grew up in a family of academicians and was brought up on a steady diet of literary classics ranging from Asimov to Bronte. Growing up in a house full of opinionated individuals who discussed Jane Austen and Munshi Premchand in the same breath, it was only natural that she opted for her Bachelors in English Literature. However, following in the footsteps of middle-class India, she earned her MBA in Human Resource Management. After giving up her corporate job, she worked as a freelance academic writer before turning in to write the most important chapter of her life--motherhood.

Malvika completed a Fiction Writing workshop at the Princeton Adult School in 2016. She had been invested in writing her debut novel for the last four and a half years. Meanwhile, she has been published online on prestigious writing platforms like Juggernaut and Readomania. Her story Remorse (published on Readomania) was also provisionally selected by Critical Literary Review India for their magazine.

As a writer Malvika blends in modern sensibilities with traditional storytelling formats, thus exploring literary fiction with a fresh perspective. She is a Vintage aficionado which also reflects in the genre she loves to write in--Historical Fiction.
She lives in Bangalore with her family.
