As a passionate advocate of student-athletes, I used sports as a vehicle for developing strong character traits and earning a quality college education. My personal and professional road to success has been paved with a balanced combination of excelling in sports and academics.
I attended West Charlotte High School in my hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina where I was highly sought after, an All-American student-athlete who gained the attention of college coaches from top-notch schools for my stellar athletic ability and strong academic credentials
I then attended the University of Florida where I anchored the Gator’s offensive line, helping the team win the 1996 college football national championship. Upon graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Sports Administration, I was drafted in the 1st round of the 1998 NFL draft by the Oakland Raiders.
After a seven year career as a starting offensive lineman, which included a trip to Super Bowl XXXVII, I retired back to my hometown. I maintained my connection to sports by becoming a high school football coach, and later a Regional Scouting Director for the country’s top high school recruiting firms, Collegiate Sports of America.
As a very busy inspirational speaker, and recruiter, I consult with numerous student-athletes and have helped many of them earn an athletic or academic scholarship for college. I hosts camps and clinics and travel the country speaking to parents, coaches and student-athletes to help them master the college recruiting process.
