Richard Walker was born the youngest of 9 children (and so was his wife). He moved to Pa from Ohio at the age of 10 and has made a living as a shoe maker, newspaper worker, and wood column maker. His only claim to fame (so far) was winning the 1982 Johnstown Marathon. He has also tried his hand at chess and inventing but lacks the expertise time and money to make it to the top, being the father of 5 boys his spare time is usually limited. But like the endlessly creative genius he is (ha!) he proverbially never stops trying. His poetry credits include being published in the Poetry Corner of the Somerset Daily American newspaper over the years and recently in Astropoetica and Prism Quarterly 8.
