Frank Mayhew has watched, through repeated tragedies, the size of his family get smaller and smaller. The recent passing of his mother leaves him alone with one remaining son, the one he never learned to get along with. It seems God was having some monumental joke at his expense. While clearing out his late mother's house, they uncover a small Jewish shrine in the attic. What had mama been hiding?
