Born in Brentwood in Essex. The only son of an English Father and an East African born German Mother.
Father of 5, Step-father to 2, Grandfather to 12. Retired, and Living in the 1066 county of East Sussex on the South coast of England.
I joined the British Army as a boy-entrant in 1961, served in a number of countries around the world until 1973, picking up a few strange habits along the way, including ‘people watching’ which has become an invaluable aid to me in character creation.
I retired from my long time profession as an IT Tutor in 2008 and began writing in earnest.
I have churned out numerous Short Stories; some not bad, some very bad and some which should never see the light of day ever again but all were part of polishing skills and abilities which have brought me to where I am now. I have written two full length novels, three novelettes, three cooperation’s with other authors, this my first attempt at an epic tale.
Over the recent years I have developed an interest in the pantheon of Egyptian Gods and their followers. Delving extensively into numerous translations of a multitude of different documents on Ancient Egypt I found nothing which contradicted my conclusions. In fact the deeper I researched I discovered more and more parallels to the three present day religions which have their origins in the Middle East.
In 2005 and 2009, I visited Luxor in Egypt. I was most intrigued by the tomb wall paintings in the valley of Kings and countless other sites which depicted a buried dignitary and his interactions with the Ancient Gods. - The Gods were painted as much larger than the general populous, which led me to consider that - other than the easy answer: ‘To enhance their status’ however I believe there could be an even more simple answer... that: They were actually greater in stature than humans, and they were not of this earth, they were visitors from the stars.
(Well, that’s what they are in the Tirnano books.)

Well Halloween is just around the corner but that shouldn't stop you enjoying a creepy moment or two right now. Magic, Ghosts and Ghoulies, and some Scary bits tooooooo.... some long, some short some in-between. Some should never see the light of day... (so read them at night my dears, read them at night.) Not for the young or the squeamish ... but Granny might love them, so give her a read.
