I enjoyed this story about an after death experience. The man in this story comes back as a ghost and has the opportunity to see scenes from his past life and decide whether or not he wants to move on or stay earth bond. I thought the author did an excellent job with the dialogue as the man that had just died was speaking to the person who was present to help him transition on and at the same time he was seeing scenes of himself talking and interacting with his family. I was able to follow who he was talking to whether it was in the past or present. I wish the story would have been longer! I look forward to reading more by this author and wish him the best of luck.

This story started out as a narrative of a man and his disappointments in his marriage. His wife and him no longer communicated or shared any intimacy and had both lost themselves into their separate jobs. He finds himself more and more drawn to the idea of having an affair. At the reccomendation of a "friend", he is told about a bar in a not too far away town where it would be easy but discreet to find someone to share the night with. I was really impressed as to how well the author would switch from a narrative telling of this story to the characters having dialogue between one another. Not only was this well written but the subject matter, in some context, is one more people can relate to than would probably admit. Instead of trying to fix the real problems in their lives, people just learn to live in a state of resigned acceptance of their situations. This was a very believable account of this subject and I felt I was actually watching the scenes take place. Highly recommend this short story. Hope to see more from this author.

As in other stories that I have read by this author, the story is well written and held my interest from beginning to end. I thought the characters were very interesting and well developed. Everything about this story was so clear you could imagine you were present and able to see what was going on. The only thing that gave me "pause" (I won't say any more than that)was the reference to a scripture in Matthew. Once I finished the story, I understood what was going on with this passage! Highly recommend this story.
