I was born in Boston Mass and had a friend named Shirley there who was an old lady. She always encouraged my writing, especially my poems. Then I moved to Maine where I've lived every since. My family and relatives have all been influential and encouraging in my artistic abilities including art and music.

It's fantasy. It's about a girl named Kerewyn who's a siren who calls the Rhakkas or sea dragons to come so the hunters can kill them for meat and other supplies. Her village is starving and her grandfather receives a vision from the sea goddess Myrridia. She tells him Kerewyn must go on a quest to save her village from the Mountain Warriors by finding a sacred conch shell.
