The mastery of words in the book in such a flowing description made me FEEL I was there. For a manual?..the reading went by fast, just like watching a movie. Being a helicopter pilot looking to become an "Anchovy Pilot." It was very informative, really. In a non-bias way and the description of helicopter aerodynamics where true to my experience and account. The cultural aspects and reality of getting along with the crew are certainly the key to success I believe and the book exercises common sense through experience. A good read and a good way to learn through the experience of others!

Oops Moggy has done it again! (Spears)... He has created a literary masterpiece. Renounced to us mere mortals on earth. The imagery of Moggy's writing is no surprise if you have read his other works. However, the use of a unique flashback technique in this novel is extraordinary. Giving random memories from the characters at the beginning then slowly replacing the memories with the plot of the pirate story. A classic, a novel that should go into school curriculum as one of the greats! The main female character is described from the visual appearance to her gentle heart but tough exterior. I think I fell in love with this women! A must read for anyone that likes adventure and Helicopters!
