She grew up in Missouri, experiencing an eclectic mix of country and city life that she brings to her stories.
Along the way she's experienced many ups and downs. She and husband have three children; one, a charming, accomplished young bartender; another, and up-and-coming sports journalist who happens to have a disability; and a third child whose journey through elementary school has recently ended.
An award-winning journalist, she's now devoting her time to her family and to writing fiction that's meant for people to read.
