Who am I?
A creative spirit.
Depends on your perspective.
For one I was a sorry " S.O.B,"
Another compared me to Jesus.
One called me "Cretin".
Another beheld "pure genius".
I am athletic yet clumsy.
Am sensitive yet at times mindless.
Truth : I am all that is enlisted .
Have a degree in Accounting, although I never worked a day as one. I served in the US Army Security Agency for four years as a Morse Code Interceptor. I have worked for the U.S. Postal Service and also a major refinery.
Met and verbally sparred with Muhammad Ali.
Competed in the 100 yard dash against the co-holder of the world record. Ran the 40 yard dash in 4 seconds flat.
Competed for a short while in world long drive competition. When I saw the disparity of pay between Open division and Senior Division ( $135,000 for first place Open division and $9800 Senior Div.) I retired even though I was hitting balls on the driving range (with limited flight golf balls) farther than the best in the world in my age group.
Sent an email to harass Marilyn vos Savant that my IQ was higher than hers. In her column she tells you : " Use the highest score ". My highest score was 235. For the story on that you will have to read my upcoming book, "Extraordinary Performances In Sports And LIfe-- The Numbers That Influence Them".
In 1972 I experimented and achieved success with Telekinesis. Later In 1972 I abandoned pursuit of these abilities.
In 2014 I resumed experimenting with paranormal abilities. Mainly because, I read about the James Randi org, which offered a 1 million dollar prize to someone who could demonstrate these abilities exist.
As of 2015 this prize no longer exists.
Sporadically now I practice paranormal abilities, since there is no longer a substantial prize incentive. My objective : If I can use them to heal people, I will put them to great service.
I have beaten and drawn top rated computer chess programs at blitz chess-- Famed Grand Master Lev Alburt told me this was IMPOSSIBLE for an amateur player of less strength than a super GM rated 2650 Elo.
World Infamous "Woe- Class" Psychic Maria Duval told me : " You Are Sent By The Supreme Forces Of The Universe..."
I write mostly for fulfillment not edification.
Most writers don't make much money. This so far, holds true for me.

Have you ever had someone compare you to Jesus? Unbelievably, I have . In fact, more than once. Each time, the comparison came from unexpected sources. I have read about people with mental illness, who believed they were Jesus or God. Never did I ever believe someone would almost force that comparison on me.
"Imagine This : Kevin Heart Has Telekinesis"
by Namref H. Tims
I wrote this sketch originally intended to illustrate what it might be like , if celebrity comedian Kevin Hart found out he had telekinetic ability. I have changed the name to Kevin Heart. I do not want to imply that Kevin Hart has telekinetic ability nor that he endorsed this skit in anyway.
Diary Of Night Terror ( The Prequel)
by Namref H. Tims
Published: December 14, 2016
According to Oprah WInfrey and experts, "Night Terror" disorder is one of the most terrifying, devastating phenomena known to man. It can make a person's heartbeat triple in a matter of seconds. I am one of the few people that can talk about this from first hand experience. My conclusion, however, is much different than the experts.

- I Am Not The Point
on June 05, 2017
I really enjoyed this book by Bill Taylor " I Am Not The Point". It is heart-warming to see someone help the homeless.
To an extent I share Bill's experiences. Years ago, I would keep loose change in my car. When someone approached, I would roll down my window and give the person a handful.
Over the last several years, I have placed the loose change with an envelope filled with one dollar bills. I usually give a dollar, sometimes I give several or more.
Other occasions, if I have food, I give this as well.
But this review is NOT about me-- It is about Bill!
A well-crafted account of how to help the homeless while leaving their dignity in tact!

Good writing on what for me is a difficult topic...

This is a food --- oops I meant : This is a good read but perhaps it is food...spiritiual food as well.
The one thing I hoped for was more specificity. For instance: I am on the books as a member of Lakewood Church in Houston. I,however, have not been present in church for over 3 years, although I do watch on TV.
Joel Osteen is one of the ministers who is often described as preaching "prosperity gospel". It seems Bill was reluctant to give actual names. Not sure if it is because of fear of reprisal or fear of making a mistake in judgment.
For me : the jury is out , at least for Joel Osteen. It is hard to determine exactly how much of a church's resources go toward helping the less fortunate. Barring fraud, the church's books are pretty much closed to the general public ( as far as I can determine). I see the Lakewood ministry reaching out to countries in Africa. I see them advertise from time to time on TV about local projects.
Yet, it is still hard to determine how much of the wealth they receive through donation is distributed to the poor and less fortunate.
As for Joel Osteen, I saw one article where his net worth was estimated at over 40 million. Of course, there are some with net worths much higher.
But is Osteen and others truly hypocrites?
Of course there is the saying about the Camel passing through the eye of a needle.
Yet, the Bible talks about prosperity as well. It seems there are a number of Holy Men who were prosperous. KIng David, Solomon.
Those two men ( Kings) Holy Men were filthy rich. Yet for one of them wealth was perhaps not his greatest sin. Yes Bill-- as you know King David sent a man to the front line so that he would be killed -- and King David could then possess his wife.
So for me -- for Joel Osteen ( my pastor at least nominally) the jury is still out.
Over -all I enjoyed reading this mini book. As always, Bill gives a lot of good information, insight and inspiration.
- Guide Me Holy Spirit
on June 07, 2017
Once again Bill embarks on ( for me) a difficult subject. Bill also touched on some unexpected areas-- racism in Christianity.
Being a "person of color" , I naturally paid particular attention to this segment.
But Bill did not stop there. He gave his heart felt account of what the "Holy Spirit" means to him. He also gave several or more Scriptures to drive the meaning "home".
He mentioned one thing : " Something about embracing the Holy Spirit visiting your neighborhood...embracing it ...."
The odd thing : Early this morning 3am to 5am a thought came to me : " A shocking visit !"
I now would like to think that might be a "shockingly good visit from the Holy Spirit:"
