Zanne resides in southwestern New Hampshire and has been writing since her first Halloween poem at age 10. Decades later, her experiences include the privilege of raising her granddaughter, becoming an equality activist, serving people living with HIV/AIDS and riding on the 40th anniversary Stonewall float in the New York Pride Parade. This is her first completed labor of love.
The phenomenon of grandparents raising their grandchildren doesn’t have a first-person voice in the world that legitimizes the agonizing nature of what it means to choose the life of your grandchild over your own child.
F.P.O. Nana is unvarnished truth-telling and not for the weak of heart. Kindred spirits seeking solace will find a voice that resonates with strength, compassion and hope.
