During her years abroad, her specialty was writing “anything in English” for corporate and non-profit clients. Travel and cultural writing highlights include publishing the only English-language cultural newsletter (at the time) in Uzbekistan, as well as writing a restaurant column (The Mouth) for the independent newspaper, Amsterdam Weekly, and being a long-time correspondent for Passport Newsletter, specializing in luxury travel.
