Nathan Goater occasionally occupies a small box room in a bungalow in the middle of the Norfolk countryside, wedged between horse paddocks and a farm full of geese. When not avoiding beaks he is a digital juggler.
Augmented by cloning, augmented by virtuality, and changed by embedded electronics. What started as an innocent search for one man ended up in a life and death race to save his clones lives, as his understanding of his own identify blurred and he was forced to rethink his core beliefs about his own consciousness, his own identity.
Cause and effect. One follows the other. One always follows the other.

I found what Jarl was going through interesting and fun, but I wondered if the Prooth needed to be built up a bit more, I don't think (to me) they came across as intriguing enough. That said it was a nice little intro to the series.
