Dan Linehan’s detailed descriptions of the wildlife, flora, people, and experiences that he encountered in Antarctica and South America made me feel like I was right there with him. Having links to pictures and videos of what he was describing had me falling in love with the animals, wondering what they’re up to right now, and wanting to do more to protect them and their habitats, our habitat, this planet that we call home. I never imagined that the logistics of taking a trip to Antarctica and the differences between the various penguins could be so interesting! Accentuated by a background mysterious love story that brings a human and personal element to the serious issue of climate change, and dotted with cute puns and plays on words, this was an interesting and important series to read, support, and share!
