Her poems and short fiction are published in literary magazines throughout the South. She has received more than fifteen writing prizes.

She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Foreign Affairs (Soviet Relations) and earned her Master of Professional Writing from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Neva lives in Southwestern Virginia.
