Jim is spot on. One of the best action flicks I've read in a long time, and deep enough that it allows you to think about the human condition. Spoilers: Great AI integration to human as well singularity here we come.

Compelling book with some great ideas. I'm not sure the Hard sci-fi classification is appropriate as I thought there were some questionable scientific things happening, but maybe invention is that easy with AI around! Reminded me of the format of the original startrek with Riddles for the Captain and XO to solve on the planets that they arrive at.
