Native to Missouri, Nicholas Kriefall’s poetry has appeared in Enizagam, The Conium Review, Barrow Street, The Ampersand Review, Poetry Quarterly, Writing Tomorrow, The Healing Muse and The Spoon River Poetry Review. Much of his writing has been influenced from living in the midwest at his childhood home in Franklin County surrounded by creeks and woods and accompanied with a boundless desire to explore.
Aside from being a poet, he is also a self-employed artist whose paintings have been exhibited and represented by prestigious galleries in Atlanta, Chicago, Kansas City and St. Louis where he currently resides.
Attic Pieces is a debut collection of narrative poems covering a variety of themes set in rural towns as well as big cities, as seen through the eyes of the old and young alike. To a veteran astronaut unsure of home, to a soldier afraid to leave his, to a fishing town and farmer in their last days; each poem invites the reader into an intimate corner of everyday life.
