For many years i was an Accounting and Economics Teacher, and then trained as a Counsellor. In the process i began to write, have had a radio program on Mens Issues, and made a film. I believe we are on this earth to help one another.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Melbourne, Australia. My parents were from Cyprus. My father loved to read, and he influenced me greatly. He was a beautiful writer and an excellent Speaker. As i grew up people often said I had a book in me, that I had an interesting turn of phrase. It wasn't until after my daughter, Kate was born, when i was twenty nine that began to write. It wasn't terribly good, awful in fact. Having failed English repeatedly at school left me non plussed that people could say i should write. At around forty five I wrote an introspective article for a local magazine, and the encouragement came in again. So, the influences have been many and varied, and i thank them for spurring me on.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted some control over the writing and publishing process, and I enjoy promoting my work.
