I like Maggie Shayne and this book did not disappoint my view of her writing. It took me most of the book to figure out who the villain was and not all suspense books take me that long. If you like romance and mystery, this book will please you.

I definitely need to read the second book. I'm a fan of Maggie Shayne's and this book didn't disappoint (much) I did have to skim through a few parts, they just seemed to go on a little too much. Other than that, I love the whole idea of love coming back. I hope the next book has Arianna's happy ever after, she deserves it. I do kind of wonder about Nathaniel though....

I know these were all shorts, but I really couldn't cohesively get into them. I wish that maybe there may have been a little more flow between the stories. But the stories were kind of funny and the ending of them all was creepy, but I liked that part :)

The way the love goes through time is awesome. I could only dream of a love like that. If you enjoy a book with undying love and witches, get this book!
  • The Arab Marylin Monroe - Erotic Prelude on May 20, 2014

Even though this was a f/f erotic romance, which i don't read often, I knew from the blurb that I wanted to read this book. The book started a little abruptly and I felt like I missed something, but it quickly picked back up. Olivia unfortunately hasn't had the best of luck with men and when seeing Fairuz for the first time she thinks she knows why. I didn't really see the Arab Marilyn Monroe reference until the second look at Fairuz and the description of her sexiness. The second meeting between the two women....smoking!! Considering that I'm newer to the f/f genre, I actually liked reading Olivia learn what making love to a woman was like. Some of the sex and orgasms didn't seem believable to me, but as I've learned from reading m/f and m/m romance, either authors like to take creative license or they are really just that lucky to enjoy that easy kind of sex :) .... I received a copy from the author for a honest review (thanks Sienna!) and I reviewed this book on Rainbow Gold Reviews, please visit their website for full review.
