The Destiny Dream is Terri's latest novel about the adventures of a young woman who is trying not to believe that her recurring dream is a view into her future. Terri is a journalist who never completely took to the trade. She has a day job, a night job, and many hobbies including travel, hiking, cooking, and recently kayaking. She lives in the northwest hills of Connecticut with her husband and teenage son, as well as her temperamental kitty.
When did you first start writing?
I've been writing stories since I was 8 years old. I wrote my first story about Russia, or at the time The Soviet Union, when I was 13. I've never wanted to do anything else.
What's the story behind your latest book?
It's an adventure. Stacey goes to Russia for a college course to learn more about the Tsars. When she arrives, she finds out that she is the last direct connection to the Romanovs and that a ring that she got from her grandma is her claim to the throne. A corrupt president spends the length of the story trying to get the ring from her and make her leave the country. It takes place in the winter, across large areas of western Russia. In the end, Stacey has to stand up and help save the lives of her friends and face the president, Yuri Kostov.
Sandy has no idea that her first paid vacation will begin years of a recurring dream that many tell her is a destiny dream or a vision of her future. She refuses to believe in the dream until the signs make it impossible to ignore and forces Sandy to abandon her current life and try to solve the mystery of her "Destiny Dream," in this young adult coming of age adventure drama novel.
