Noel Stacey

Biography

Noel Stacey was born the youngest of four children to a Minnesota transplant and a Texas native. Noel grew up in Spring, TX in 1981 back when it was still covered in pine trees and cow pastures. Deer season sometimes meant missing out on Halloween, but it also meant exploring rusty-colored creeks, building teepees from fallen trees, and learning where the family meat came from, all from the family cabin in deep East Texas.

Noel had the pleasure of teaching Agricultural Science for five year, focusing on general agriculture, leadership, and communications, before choosing to spend the young years at home with her babies.

After a brief move to Austin and then Killeen, today Noel lives in Mountain Home, TX with her husband, “Coach,” and their three small children, all of whom have spent some time in a deer stand or picking up dove in the pasture. {Their black lab, Maggie, has retired from retrieving dove, but the kids do a fine job in her place.}

Noel writes new recipes regularly at her website, http://www.mywildkitchen.com/, usually two recipes per week, and hopes to continue bringing you family favorites for years to come!
