Nicole Oquendo

Biography

Nicole Oquendo is a writer and visual artist that combines these elements, along with magical practice, to craft multimodal nonfiction, poetry, and fiction, as well as translations of these forms. Their work can be found in numerous literary journals, a hybrid memoir, and six traditionally published chapbooks. They have also been serving the writing community for over a decade as an educator and freelance editor, as well as volunteering time to several literary journals and presses. They are currently an Assistant Editor for Sundress Publications, and have curated multiple anthologies, including their most recent, MANTICORE: HYBRID WRITING FROM HYBRID IDENTITIES.

They are dealing with this prolonged moment of crisis by writing thinly-veiled, speculative work.
