Alabaster
by D. A. Fiedler
Once a mother, once a wife, Dorya is now an old woman with hands gnarled by a life of hardship and pain. Basmat, born in stigma, is left reviled and alone. Two women, desperate outcasts in Capernaum, witness the arrival of the Christ. Basmat shares with Dorya a shattered dream, their lives and destinies connected by a delicate alabaster bottle, which leads them to their Savior's feet.
