Karen Ann

Karen Ann, a graduate of Salem State University, has worked for more than thirty five years in the medical device industry. In addition to Of Blood and Lions, her first novel, she has authored and co-authored several scientific papers throughout her tenure in the medical industry. Science fiction has been a passion for Karen Ann dating back to the nineteen sixties when the first episode of Lost in Space and Star Trek aired on her parents nine inch black and white TV. Every show and movie since then has been an inspiration for her to finally pen a tale as thought provoking as those 60’s TV shows were to that eight year old. Her vocation, which involves an intimate knowledge of chemistry and biology, has worked to her advantage in writing a science fiction novel. Karen Ann is currently working towards a Masters Degree in biology from Fitchburg State University as well as the sequel to Of Blood and Lions. She lives in a small Massachusetts town with her husband and may be reached at www.ofbloodandlions.com
