Archbishop Wynn Wagner is the president of the World Conference of Old Catholic Churches. He is also a semi-retired archbishop in the North American Old Catholic Church.
The archbishop passed a good part of his youth in the Roman Catholic Church, only to flee the church after clergy abuse. A graduate of St. Alban Seminary, he earned his advanced degree from St. Wolbodo Seminary. His work is focused on reminding men and women everywhere that there is life after Rome and it can be rich, spiritual, and far more fulfilling.
Theosophy is a technique from the 1600s that showed quite a bit of interest in esoteric circles of the twentieth century. The theosophist seeks to understand the mysteries of the universe and the bonds that unite the universe, humanity and the divine. The goal of theosophy is to explore the origin of divinity and humanity, and the end of world, life and humanity.
Written by one of the foremost authorities on esoteric Christianity, HIDDEN SIDE takes you on a journey beneath the popular surface meaning of the major events in the church’s year. It was written a few months after World War One, and that still is a strong memory to the author.
Archbishop Leadbeater (1854-1934) was the second Presiding Bishop of the Liberal Rite of the church catholic.
This is the fourth edition of Archbishop Wynn Wagner’s Liberal Catholic Catechism. The first edition was when he was a rookie priest with Holy Water behind the ears. Now comes an update from Wynn as a lah-dee-dah don’t-even-look-at-me archbishop. And yet it still works as an easy-to-read introduction to a little known branch of the church catholic.
This is the most indispensible book available for independent priests and bishops, especially those who want to balance traditional liturgies with progressive attitudes.
This is 350+ pages (paperback) of rites, rituals, liturgies and practices that cover the entire spectrum of Sacraments for the entire Christian year.
For those displeased with Roman Catholicism yet seeking a spiritual path that embraces and accepts, this straightforward, often humorous book will return you to a serenity you desire and deserve.
The Old Catholic Church is completely and validly Catholic without being Roman Catholic. The author explains how to stay true to your faith and belief regardless of your church affiliation.
OLD CATHOLIC CATECHISM. Many books that introduce a religious sect either get you so pumped up that you are in danger of exploding. Others are so "dry" that you seriously consider imploding before you get to the third chapter. This isn't like that. Expect the story of a man from California who took a journey toward God. He tells you about his journey, warns you about some of the pitfalls he found.
The Canons of a church are the laws that govern the behavior of its clergy.
These Canons apply to the North American Old Catholic Church, the national Latin Rite church in the United States.
The Canons were adopted and went into effect on Advent Sunday (the start of the liturgical year) in 2009.
100% Catholic — 0% Roman Catholic.
The OLD CATHOLIC CHURCH has been around for hundreds of years, but few people today know about it. Larger groups that use the word “Catholic” rarely like to admit its existence, but it does exist. It is completely Catholic, but without the pope, the Inquisition and all the guilt.
