Thirteen-year-old Terrance O’Connell thought life was over when he was sent to live at the foster home of Police Captain Leroy Gonzalez. He had grown up in a family of small-time criminals, and he thrived on the streets. However, when he met Cap’s service puppy in training, Tooten, he came to realize he had found a soul-mate, one who was curious as well as fearless, and would always be faithful.
Izzy and Deanie are back again in the second in the Locksmith series. This time they must help Angela prove that she wasn't involved in the murder of the cute, new boy in town.
Maybe Mrs. Mitchell had been kidnapped, maybe killed, or maybe she had just run away from her husband. Maybe Mr. Haymer’s tulips were just vandalized or maybe there was a body buried there. Maybe Deanie had a great imagination and maybe Izzy just wanted to open locked doors. But whatever the reasons, the girls fall into a life-threatening mystery that has too many maybes.
