Lynn Tincher

Publisher info

Author, Public Speaker, and Executive Producer, Lynn Tincher was born just outside of Louisville, Kentucky in the beautiful city of La Grange. One of her fondest memories of growing up was when a short story she wrote for an English class was read in front of the students at Oldham County High School. Since then, her love for writing blossomed. She studied Theater Arts at Eastern Kentucky University in hopes of becoming a Drama/English teacher. Lynn had several articles published in local magazines and online, but the thought of writing a novel always stuck with her.

Inspired by Nora Roberts, JK Rowling, and Greg Isles, Lynn wrote Afterthoughts, the first book in the Mind Bending Series, a fictional psychological crime series that follows the life of a young Louisville Police detective named Paige Aldridge. Blackwyrm Fiction picked up Afterthoughts for publication in 2008. When she signed the contract, it landed Lynn the center page for a story in Leo Weekly. Since then, Lynn released the second and third books, Left in the Dark, and Buried Deep. Lynn’s fourth book, Where There is Light is set to release August 15, 2015.

In 2013, the unbelievable happened. Afterthoughts was optioned for movie production by Kilted Pictures and Dancing Forward Productions in Los Angeles. It is currently in pre-production with plans to shoot in Louisville, Kentucky very soon. With Executive Producer credits, Lynn is working hard to draw on local talent and bringing the production of the movie to her much loved city of Louisville.

Between Writing Afterthoughts and Left in the Dark, Lynn was diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome, a rare and fatal genetic heart disease. She is determined to help spread the word about Brugada Syndrome and hopes to help others who are dealing with it or other heart diseases. Lynn was the 2014 Red Cap Ambassador for the American Heart Association Heart Walk where she was the guest speaker at several events, as well as a runway model for the Go Red for Women luncheon.

Lynn is actively involved in the Louisville Chapter of the National Association of Professional Women, Greater Louisville Inc., The Louisville Film Society, the American Heart Association, and was a Champion Member of the Oldham County Chamber of Commerce. She has appeared in Today’s Woman, the Louisville Courier-Journal, Leo Weekly, the RoundAbout and the Oldham Era.

Lynn now lives just outside of Louisville on a farm in Shepherdsville with her husband, Eric, where she loves to garden organically. She has three wonderful children, Emily, Aaron and Becca and three fantastic dogs named Luke, Bella, and Mara.
