An enjoyable reading experience. Although the plot line is predictable, there are enough twists and turns in the story to keep the reading intrigued enough to want to turn the page and find out what's going to happen.
This book was a true joy to read. It has much more depth then "A Bride for Tom" don't get me wrong, I enjoyed "A Bride for Tom" also, that is why I read "A Husband for Margaret." I'm looking forward to continuing on with the exploits of Margaret & Jessica.
No matter how deeply wounded you think you are, there is always someone with a wound that is deeper. This book allows the reader to see that no matter how much control you think you have, there is always an outside force that truly has control. A little on the slow side, very draggy in spots but over all a good reading experience.
"The Drifters" is a well written story about how sometimes what seems like the worst thing that could possibly happen turns out to be the best thing that could have happened. There are many things in our lives that are out of our control. Those that are willing to accept what fate has instore for us will survive, and thrive. Those that want everything handed to them, and are unwilling to see what is clearly point out to them, will suffer, and wither away.
I recommend this book to everyone; those that think someone else will always take care of them, those that think they know how their lives will be, and those that think life has given them a kick in the teeth and that there's nothing they can do about it.
