Hooked from the first page, I won't write about the story itself, because it would only contain spoilers, but I will say - all the short stories on Smashworks by Michele West are "MUST HAVES"! "The Weapon", as the many of the others contains enticing glimpses into characters that are not largely featured in the novels. In this case a historical figure from The Sun Sword series is featured and she is a heroine without equal.The mother of everything that happens afterwards in the novels. All of Micheles Smashwork books are fabulous, as fabulous as her novels..... And you wish they could go on and on. I print mine out and and keep them with her books for rereading. I would love to read dozens of these stories.Don't miss out on an enjoyable evening reading "The Weapon" or any of the others. Five Stars!
