This book is about life, not cycling. Here cycling is simply a vehicle to expose and discuss some of life's simple truths-personal interactions, personal responsibility, self confidence to name a few. Seth Davidson exposes these truths in a humorous, self depreciating manner that will have you laughing out loud at the absurdity of life and will have you crying when confronting your own fears and anxieties mirrored in the stories.
You can take this collection of vignettes at face value and be entertained by the ridiculous nature of cycling and the characters that inhabit that culture. If you let yourself dig a little deeper it can be much more meaningful.
Definitely worth a read either way.
