Heritage of Deceit

Interesting premise for a short story. Contained properly in a short time, entertaining and a believable setting. I can picture this story happening in real life. Pacing is quick, no fluff conversations, swiftly moving you through the story until you are finished.
Characters are developed well in a short time. The main characters are able to be understood, their motives, even their naivety. Can you see the ending coming? Maybe you can, I did not, I was pleasantly surprised by the ending. After all of the books I have read of late, I have become fairly jaded to endings. This one got me a bit.
