Not what I was expecting, the cover doesn't look like a 13 yr old. I really liked the story though once I started. It was a fast read that I didn't want to put down. Lilly has grown up in a very sheltered and strict household and doesn't know any different. Her parents seem to never really talk to her and she thinks this is normal. She ends up coming home from school one day to no one home, which never happens. She ends up going to Canada to live with her grandfather that she really didn't know about and meeting her family for the first time. She's welcomed with open arms and experiences what a true family is, love, comfort, and acceptance. I can't really get into much more than that without giving anything away. Awesome story and I can't wait to read the next one.

Way too short, but really interesting. Terra Harmony jumps right into the story, just sucks you right in and leaves you wanting for more. I can't wait for the next book.

Good book. Really get to know the characters and can visualize where they are. I look forward to the next book.
  • The Ninja Librarian on April 06, 2012

This was such a cute and funny book. The Ninja Librarian, Tom, comes to Skunk Corners to be the new librarian. The town at first doesn't really want him and makes bets on how long he will stay since everyone tries to make him feel unwelcome. Tom isn't put off by their brash ways and ends up teaching the town quite a few different thing.

The headlines and stories were hilarious. The actual story was way too short but I can't wait to read the next one.

Wow, what a ride. This book goes until the very last page, no slowing down at all. A very captivating read, starts on the first page and doesn't let up. I love the characters, very easy to relate to, even evil Shawn (I understood why he's a jerk, but I don't like him). Kaitlyn was awesome. I love the fact that she's mouthy and tough but still at times a girl. She cries, whines, and pouts but also kicks ass. Definitely need the next book.

Again a cliffhanger. AHHHH!!! And I have to wait for the next one. Harmony has done such a great job with this new world. I can't get enough of it. The read is so engaging that it's over before you even know it. Kaitlyn's strength amazes me, she leans on Micah too much I think but as soon as he leaves she steps up. I look forward to the next book so I can find out who is the father of her baby, and see what other messes she gets into.

That was amazing. I could so picture it as a movie and would definitely go see it. I loved the adventure and action and suspense. I'm so glad Hale was willing to share this book for reviews and that I didn't miss out. Action packed right from the start with great characters, I had to force myself to put it down just to go to bed and then it took me awhile to fall asleep because I was still thinking about it. As soon as I got up I had to finish it, I had to know what was going to happen. I knew to an extent what the ending was going to be, I was somewhat wrong but not disappointed. If you love UF then you will love this book.

Rating - 4.5 I received this book to review and once I realized that it was the third book in the series I bought the other two (I'm kinda anal like that). I have really enjoyed this series and I hope there are more books. I love the characters and would love to "hang" with them some more. Ceri is very powerful but humble and kicks ass, whereas Lily is a half succubus and not so humble but she hates her demon side. Twill is a fairy that takes care of the "Haunted House" that they live in, it's enchanted with an illusion to look haunted and I so want to live there. I do suggest that you read the first two books before this one just to understand some of the references but it isn't necessary.
  • Pulse: Book I Binuit-Namri Chronicles on Aug. 06, 2012

Rating - 3.5 It seemed somewhat slow and it wasn't until the last few pages that it got really exciting. I guess I'm getting a little tired of reading YA books where the girl isn't popular, the guy is, she wants nothing to do with him but after being around him for a day or so she's madly in love with him. The story was somewhat interesting and I liked the characters.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great, the emotion was so real. I hope there is another book to follow Rhys and Jenna's story. I loved the mystery. Although an explanation as to why Melanie could see what other humans couldn't would've been nice, or why the imps were attacking her. But other than that it was a really good book.
