Patricia Ariadne, PhD, is a licensed psychotherapist and Board Certified Professional Counselor in private practice in Encinitas, California. She speaks at conferences and seminars and presents workshops on the topics of dreams and dreaming and on change and transition. She has been interviewed on George Noory’s Coast to Coast AM and Sedona Talk Radio as well as for numerous newspapers and magazines, including the San Diego Union Tribune and Natural Awakenings Magazine.
Dr. Ariadne’s first book, Women Dreaming-into-Art, is based on interviews of several well-known artists who use their dreams to inspire their art. She continues the interview format in her second book, Drinking the Dragon: Stories of the Dark Night of Soul, in which she explores the effects of crisis in the lives of persons who have not only survived—but thrived—through radical life change. The Companion Workbook to Drinking the Dragon provides exercises and visualizations to help persons collaborate with the transition process.
