Patrick Martin, MA, LMFT
My name is Walter “Patrick” Martin II, M.A., MFT, MFC-51509, initially graduating in 1989 honored as the youngest to ever graduate with an Associate’s of Arts degree at Palomar College, completing undergraduate work at with a Bachelor of Arts, California State University San Marcos and Masters of Arts in counseling psychology program at National University in 1999. Training includes EMDR trauma assessments, advanced Critical Incident Stress Management training, forensic assessments within jails system, DUI program substance abuse counseling and special education assessor. I began my own company in summer of 2012 Walter P Martin LMFT Psychotherapy and Educational Advocate Services while working full time San Diego County and then Riverside County. I have clients referred by San Diego County Crisis hotline (Optum Health San Diego, Medi-Cal), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing International Association in addition referrals from Blue of California as a Preferred Provider. I also Volunteer within multiple professional organizations, as a Fellow of The American Orthopsychiatric (devoted to research on socioeconomic, social justice and ethnic diversity relating to psychiatry), Clinical Fellow of American Association of Marriage Family Therapists, professional member of EMDR International Association. Overall, my history includes more then sixteen years of experience working with emotionally/behaviorally challenged individual within a private practice, residential, hospital and/or rehabilitation setting with a large period of employment working with special education emotionally challenged youth and/or high functioning autistic children for over 12 year through San Diego County.
