Patrick Kearney


Patrick Kearney is a mindfulness teacher in the lineage of Mahasi Sayadaw of Myanmar, a key figure in the modern revival of mindfulness meditation. He began mindfulness practice in 1976, and has trained extensively in both the Insight and Zen traditions. 

Patrick teaches intensive mindfulness meditation retreats throughout Australia and Asia, as well as workshops and academic courses in the theory and practice of mindfulness. He has studied early Buddhism at postgraduate levels, and brings his understanding of the original texts regarding mindfulness and its practice to the contemporary world.

He lives with his family in Brisbane, Australia.
