Author Sylvia Massara has the enviable ability to write in multiple genres. Based on some of her other books, I picked up The Stranger hoping to find the same talent I found in her previous books. I was not disappointed. SciFi romance is not what I normally read, but I found this apocalyptic romance highly engaging. The characters Rhys and Carla are from two different worlds and must deal with moralistic issues as the threat of world destruction looms. Will Rhys choose his love for Carla? The fight between love and evil is present as in other stories, but the setting takes you to a different realm altogether. Ms. Massara is a story teller and no matter what world she writes in she takes us on a journey we won’t soon forget.
