Phil Buckley is a senior change management professional with over twenty-five years of experience helping leaders align mindsets, actions and behaviours to achieve new and challenging goals across global businesses in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. He has managed thirty-two large scale change projects including co-leading global change management for the $19.6 billion Kraft Foods acquisition of Cadbury, which included a team of forty change leads across sixty countries.
His change assignments include mergers, divestitures, organization restructurings, growth capability developments, efficiency drives, culture initiatives and systems implementations. Phil’s practical experience working on change initiatives in twenty countries has taught him how to help people make changes within their local environments that give them the results they need, and last.
Phil is the author of Change with Confidence: Answers to the 50 Biggest Questions that Keep Change Leaders Up at Night (Jossey-Bass, 2013), awarded “30 Best Business Books of 2013” status by Soundview. It provides complete, actionable answers to the burning questions that leaders routinely ask about how to manage change successfully.
In January, 2014, he partnered with Soundview to publish an online leadership course (MOOC) entitled Building Your Change Capability. Phil's work has been featured in Forbes, Businessweek, The Globe and Mail, and many other business publications.
Phil holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Toronto and a Diploma in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University.
In the fall of 2015, Phil edited his dad's memoir, My Best 80 Years, The Lifetime Recollections of Donald Charles Buckley. It captures the adventures of a boy who grew up in through the 20s boom, 30s depression and 40's war years.
