From a background in Social Psychology, I took a Masters in Behavioural Research Methods, then a PhD with a focus on Identity Theory. My main interest within the field of genealogy has been to try to identify a way to help fifth generation emigrants to get in touch, through a better understanding of the social history of the early nineteenth century, with their present Atlantic Celt identity.
