Steve Pickard has been teaching Bible study classes for more that thirty years. His is a member of an American Baptist congregation in Bismarck, ND where he currently teaches an adult class twice per month. He received his medical training at the University of Louisville and the University of Alabama, Birmingham. After completing his residency in internal medicine, he worked for six years as a clinician with the Indian Health Service, followed by 24 years as a medical epidemiologist assigned by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to assist low capacity state health departments with public health science and emergency preparedness. This volume contains lessons for intermediate and advanced Scripture study. The lesson questions are sequenced to help students explore Luke's Gospel and discover its truths. The commentary provides students with one interpretation of the Scriptures being studied. The predominant theme of these lessons is love. Through love, we learn to know God as God truly is.
