Troy Bond


Troy Bond was educated at Trinity University, Texas, and Northern Iowa in English Literature, as
well as in Oxford, England as an English teacher. Troy is a native Iowan, but spent years working on both coasts and traveling extensively overseas. His writing career began as a script reader and researcher for film producer Douglas Wick (Working Girl, Gladiator), and continued as he wrote spec scripts and pilots for television. His one-act play “Shades of Grey” was a finalist at the Seattle Director’s Festival. Troy lives with his wife and two children in West Des Moines where he contributes regularly to his blog Pizza By Fire ( about the art of making wood-fired pizza in a handmade earth oven.
