Troy Bond

Biography

Troy Bond was educated at Trinity University, Texas, and Northern Iowa in English Literature, as
well as in Oxford, England as an English teacher. Troy is a native Iowan, but spent years working on both coasts and traveling extensively overseas. His writing career began as a script reader and researcher for film producer Douglas Wick (Working Girl, Gladiator), and continued as he wrote spec scripts and pilots for television. His one-act play “Shades of Grey” was a finalist at the Seattle Director’s Festival. Troy lives with his wife and two children in West Des Moines where he contributes regularly to his blog Pizza By Fire (pizzabyfire.typepad.com) about the art of making wood-fired pizza in a handmade earth oven.
